Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is committed to ensuring no person is excluded from participation in or denied benefits of its programs and services on the basis of race, color, and national origin as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Any person who believes that they have been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with SMART. SMART’s Title VI Program can be found here.

A complainant may file a complaint directly with the Federal Transit Administration by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator, East Building, 5th Floor-TCR,1200 New Jersey Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20590
