Santa Rosa Downtown station

SMART is currently working to repair a system issue at the at-grade crossing at 9th Street in Downtown Santa Rosa. Until the repair is complete, federal regulations require train engineers to sound the train horn, and operate at reduced speeds despite the establishment of a Quiet Zone. 
 
We understand this is disruptive, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.  Thank you for your patience as our team works to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Windsor station

The Windsor station opened for passenger service on Saturday, May 31.

Track scrubbing

Track scrubbing, a maintenance process that cleans the railroad tracks, takes place weekly as part of routine maintenance along the entire rail line. Additional cleaning may occur as needed based on track conditions and environmental factors affecting the railway. During this process, you may notice vehicle lights and hear grinding sounds.

Petaluma North station

The Petaluma North station opened on Friday, January 10, 2025.  The pathway is now open.

Healdsburg station

A Request for Qualifications for design and construction of the Healdsburg Extension was released in March 2025.  The project is anticipated to be awarded in the Fall of 2025, with completion of the extension expected in 2028.
